Test Make-up

From my test makeup, it became clear to me that I should have pigmented my pieces to match my model. Instead I had precoloured my pieces with a cold purple colour, which was my intended finished look. Because I had precoloured, it made it more difficult for me to colour the piece and my models skin to match.
Finger Extensions
I wasn't happy with the finger extensions as they were difficult to apply due to the thin edges adhering to themselves. The pictures demonstrate a range of pigmented fingers, none of which I particularly liked. Looking at the test makeup, I would havepigmented the fingers to match my models skin tone to enable me to colour them successfully.
The fingers sat on the tips of my modles fingers, which i discovered meant they had less area to stick to, meaning they wouldn't be able to move realistically. Due to the moulds, it was difficult to get cap plastic layers out of the mould, on one occasion I managed to get a blending edge, however this was ruined whilst trying to apply the finger, so I didn't get change to try and blend the edge. If I were to do this again, I would sculpt them to a lower point, giving more area for them to adhere to. Because the whole finger was made of silicone, this meant that the nail would unnaturally bend during filming, so i tried uing wire to reinforce them but this didn't make much difference.
I came up with an alernative to make her hands appear, long, thin and creepy. This is shown on 'Preparation for final' page.
