Online I found a pdf link whith a full guide on how to paint foam latex. I looked at this in case I decided to attempt to run my prosthetic face application in foam, as it has quite thick areas. I also thought this would be a good opportunity to get a feel for foam latex.
A reason for wanting to try foam latex is that I feel I need to practice painting it as the first time I tried I found it very difficult to layer the colour to produce skin tones.
In preparation for Major project, I wanted to find out more about foam. I asked Kristyan Mallett if he would be able to give me guidance on finding resources on how to create a foam appliance with a silicone skin. He had also mentioned to me where this method had been used bfore to create a pregnant stomach, of which we discussed in person when he visited AUB for a demonstration.
