For Specialist Practice, I wanted to produce a beastly sterotype of men, and instead contradict this idea by using a female model to represent the idea of stereotyping.
I began this project by looking at werewolves, unitl a brief tutorial outcome decided that werewolves are already very popular, making my idea seem unoriginal. To overcome this, I decided to look at less popular beasts. By looking at mythological beasts and their stories, I decided that the Wendigo was an ideal route to take. By choosing this option, I have the freedom to create the character as I wish it to appear. With justification of each feature I choose, my creature should be a successful character in its own context.
This idea originates from the psychological effects of severe cabin fever. This would help to put the character into an environment where it would make sense and fit in with its physical aesthetics. By shooting this makeup in the woods, we can se the movement of the character to add a sense of realism. I plan to develop a makeup frelecting this idea in which this part transformed character is evident int he fact that it is yet to lose its human aspects completely, scuch as the fact she still wears little clothing, has some human resembelance through its features. grow a set of canines
The characters motivation is to survive
My character will instinctively prey amongst weak, warm blooded creatures, by doint his my character doesn't become unrealistic by trying to wrestle bears for her dinner. I have kept her fragile, to keep her context intersting in how she will survive. This would also seem cleareras she will will have long, claw-like hands which I would want to appear blunt and boney as she is far form indulging on her feeding.
Environment: Woodland, night
Food: Warm blooded animals
Cold blooded, pale, doesnt see sunlight
