Planning
-Always accept jobs and confirm availability on request
-Don't feel pressured into telling rates immediately, ask questions.. how many models, will you need an assistant. Day rate approved. More than one model and more than two looks will require an assistant.
-Visual sketches / mood boards/ references put together for approval of your interpretations
-Recieved stylist/ concept boards. Send designs to see if they work together. Creative meeting.
-Model castings - normally involved when designing. Look at models with makeup in mind - is it appropriate.
-Timings required - realistic timesof what you're capable of.
-Shot lists given out
-Call sheets emailed night before
-Make sure you are looked after and have everything required e.g. electricity, bathroom.
-Working out rates - good clients will sort out hotels and transport. Ask other people locally what they charge and judge your rates by others.
