Flocking
This method of flocking is used to give a flocked finish to the surface of an appliance

-Flock
The Flocking gun is filled with flock and then creates a static field wherever adhesive is applied. By brushing on a layer of adhesive, this is where the static will attract the flocking ans stick. To charge this area, a circuit crocodile clip is attached to the mould of the piece and a trail of adhesive is connected to the clip.
Any exccess hair is airbrushed off the surface where the flocking may stick to any tacky areas. This can also be wiped off if nescessary.
This method is particularly useful for larger areas of hair, often animals. There are also longer flocking hairs available to create fur effects for animals.
Flocking gives a varity of uses for texture and whrre and how it can be used. In this case, flocking is described as a texturising agent as it is mixed in with adhesive and then used to hide edges of an appliance.
This is a quick and easy method of flockig, however it's extremely messy as the tiny fibres spread over surfaces. Flocking is difficult to remove, especially with shorter fibres.

This video demonstrates using a flocking gun to create beard stubble. This method appears quite efffective, however, if direction of air goes against anyhair due to movement or atmosphere, the hair will stand in the wrong direction, making the flocking look inaccurate.
