Construction of a Lace Front Wig

-create template
-draw on hairline onto block
-draw lace line from ear to ear
-foundation line - 2.5 inch thick parralell
-Caul net drawn incircle on crown of head
- using block points
-make sure net is horizontal on the block
tutu mesh - rectangle strip, fold in half to find middle point
-knock in pins along foundation line, both lines. it will then be cut
-leave excess so it can be rolled and hemmed
-dart back line of foundation section, and cut off excess, leave 1cm excess at nape/hairline
-darts have to be folded in same direction of hair
-roll (hem) the excess (1cm) from all around foundation net, ear to ear (you dont hem where different nets will meet. whip hem and where ends of foundation net meet.
Caul net
-pin into foundation section, away from caul line
-create darts to make caul sit flat, dont pin anything on the line
-trim off excess, leave 1cm
-both edges of fabric (foundation + caul) edges must be whipped, double whip
-
Lace
without parting
-flat againt hairline
-cover sideburns too
-flat at centre point, darts positioned not to interfere with hair direction
-manipulate darts to lie horizontally into hairline
-keep adrts away from lice/hairline
-1cm overlap on top of foundation
-whip darts and overlapping lace
with parting, area cut out of foundation area
flatten lace along parting,
-darts will be different
The most challenging part of constructiong a lace front wig
