Developed Design
I have developed my design to be a physical movement which will be filmed and photographed in stages.
The wound itself will not be visible or existent until the model removes this area to reveal the wound.
Using Sculpt Gel, I will use pigmented layers to build up a positive of my wound piece, to enable me to give the impression of a 'filled' wound.
With silicone paints, I will use colours such as: yellow - to replicate fatty tissue, red - to replicate muscle, blood red- to represent any residue from breaking cappillaries.
INSERT DESIGN HERE
Pigmented layers of Skin Sculpt replicating, muscle tissue, Fat and Skin layer.
This willl form a positive of the negative space my original piece has created, as an open wound.
Skin Sculpt
Using Sculpt gel, I spread a small amount onto my wrist and spread it to see how I could disguise the edges and how difficult it may be to blend the edges out. As it began to cure, I used a spatula to create a texture to replicate organic tissue. Stippling th edges helped to blend the edge in with my skin.
Once released, this product would be suitable for me to pigment and build up and cure in layers to create teh desired effect I want.
This Skin Sculpt was a pre pigmented as a darker flesh tone. The Skin Sculpt I will be using is clear, so I will be ble to pigment this easily to whatever colpur is appropriate.
Stippling Silicone
I will use this stippling method to take the smooth, shiny surface away from the silicone skin sculpt. This will help to give it a more natural looking texture to enable me to blend it in with the original prosthetic hip piece, which I have textured to replicate skin.

Under eyes and cheek bones:
-applied in subtle, translucent layers
These makeup designs display a collection of stages in which the makeup will progress to become more severe. The first makeup will reflect A fiarly healthy tennage girl, as we move to figure too, fatigue begins to show under here eyes, and shadows beneath her cheek bones begin to appear. Figures 3 and 4 are a more progressive state as her eyes are clearly sunken and her face replicates a sollow, gaunt face. These makeup are to reflect time and anorexia taking over her body.

Vein tone
Olive adjuster
I combined these colours to create a match for dark circles. The vein and olive tones halped to balance the redness in the natural tones, as undereye areas tend to have blue/ purple tones.
By using subtle amounts of makeup, the build up process will be more successful and easier to add to for each stage.
Nails
Using skin illustrator, I want to give the impression of brittle nails by painting on the nails to give impression of lines.
I am also going to add subtle nail discolouring, this will reflect another side effect of anorexia as her nails become brittle and unhealthy.
Using skin illustrator and a fine brush, I used a slightly lighter colour than the nail itself to brush fine lines down the nail.
I liked this effect as it is subtle and realistic. As it is applied straight on the nail there is no build up of materials or shien to distort the realism.
As an alternative, I could use acrylic nails which I can file to give a rough, ridged texture to the nail. This can then be painted up appropriately using skin illustrator.
As a result of the acrylic nails, it was difficult to make them look less bright and healty, so I will use skin illustrator on nails as this looks more organic and convincing.
Acrylic nails
Brittle hair and nails are linked with hypothyroidism, which means they have a thyroid deficiency, meaning they aren't producing enough hormones due to starvation.

Scissors
I looked at this video just to see what method was used to break down the nail. The nail was broken down using the scissors as a technique to create a ruggid texture.
