Silicone cheekbone ApplicationApplying prosaide to the piece and printing it on to the face, helped make a clean, smooth application. | Blocked eyebrows and Gelatine lipsI blocked out the brows with wax and applied concealer to camouflage them.To apply the lips, I used pros aide and to blend away the edges I used hot water as I felt this avoided crumbling edges away. | Makeup applicationUsing foundation and cream foundation, I tried to get a balanced coverage for an overall base. |

colour correctionI applied plenty of coverage to disguise any stubble and to blend the prosthetics into the skin. I chose a pink tone for this makeup as I thought it was an appropriate shade for the reasoning behind this makeup. | Eyelash applicationOnce the brows were recreated, eyelashes were applied to give more volume and femininity to the makeup. |
Evaluation
Overall, I was pleased with this makeup as I had successfully achieved a dramatic cosmetic surgery case. From looking at the original picture of the model, it is evident that this transformation has indeed portrayed a transvestit inspired makeup. I was especially pleased with the lips as I used Pete Burns as reference for this look. If I were to do this makeup again, I would change the shape of the cheeks as they had the correct fullness but didn't smooth into the skin as discreetly as I would have liked. I also struggled ot keep the eyebrows flat and smooth without cracking. Next time I will use the soap method and build it up in layers.
To create this look I combined two prosthetic designs together. This was appropriate for my transvestite surgery study. These designs were influnenced by Pete Burns as he is renowned for his dramatic cosmetic surgery and the struggle along the way.

Using Photoshop, I edited this image to gove the blocked out brows a smoother appearance as I was unhappy witht he result of these. I also touched up the edges of the cheek pieces as they weren't as discrete as I planned, due too the thickness of my cap plastic.
