Transvestite Makeup

Promotional, public figure

Originally, these designs were separate makeups in oreder to focus on soecific areas, however I chose to combine them as a complete makeup to give a full sense of the character I was portraying.

This idea was influenced by public figures such as Jeffree Star. He presents himself with flawless makeup which advertise and promote products for brand such as MAC and his own collection, named Jeffree Star.

The key features of Jeffrees makeup ar his high cheek bones and full, feminine lips.

To keep this makeup more natural, I used my models natural hair to complete the look. This also helped to keep a sense of realism to this makeup.

Evaluation

Overall, this makeup was successful as it portrayed the look I wanted. I think this image looks beautiful and would look even more so, if I were able to blend the edges better on the cheek prostetics. The cap plastic blending edge was too thick, so if I were to do this makeup again, I would apply less layers of cap plastic to ensure a perfect thin edge. Other than this, the application as a whole was smooth but became viible when makeup was applied on top. The blocked eyebrows were more successful this time as the soap method was stronger and had a smoother finish which enabled me to camouflage them well. I was pleased with the gelatine lips as they blended flawlessly into the skin. I did however start to have problems with sticking the right corner down as it was too close to the natural mouth crease.

Edited Image

I edited this image by making the transition between skin and appliance smoother on the cheeks. I did this by using a rnage of skin tones to make the pieces more subtle and natural looking.
