Here are a few hair samples where I have mixed different ratios of balck and white hair together. This was a useful way to see how much hair I sould be mixing. From left to right the amount of white hair reduces. I decided that the fourth sample was most appropriate, as the white wasnt noticeable but there was enough to break up the solid black to give a more natural look.

The information on the left shows a partial wig, also called a Toupee.

When making my wig base, I treated it as a partial wig as it didnt cover the whole of my models head. The purpose of the half wig was to expose her whole neck from the ear downwards.

These images show the process of my wig. I made my wig using two parts, a front lace piece and foundation net.

The majority is made of foundation net, however in a full wig, there would be a caul net on the crown, but this was not necessary due to the size of my wig.

Following a hair growth pattern, I marked on the direction of hair onto the template, this was a helpful reminder to ensure all the hair sits correctly.

The wig will then be cut on my model to ensure it is all the right lenth and short enough to reveal her neck prosthetic.

Overall, I was really happy with my wig and the hair parting I had created. I found it difficult at times to make sure that the parting was perfectly central.
